Cedar Lake – Following the recent Consumer Price Index Report, indicating 3.5% increase in consumer prices from a year ago, Lake County Councilman and Republican Congressional Candidate in Indiana’s First District, Randy Niemeyer, issued the following statement:

“It is unacceptable that Frank Mrvan and President Biden continue to ignore the economic hardship inflicted upon hardworking Americans by their reckless spending. Skyrocketing inflation erodes the purchasing power of every hard-earned dollar, burdening families with higher costs for groceries and essential services. Bidenomics is only making matters worse. We’ve got to reign in the runaway spending and promote policies that alleviate the strain on working and middle-class Americans,” stated Niemeyer.

Cedar Lake – After a recent border stampede incident in El Paso where a riot of illegal migrants tore down razor wire along the Rio Grande and rushed the border, an El Paso judge ordered their release. Today, Randy Niemeyer, Lake County Councilman and Republican Congressional candidate for Indiana’s First District expressed disappointment over the decision and criticized the role Rep. Frank Mrvan’s votes against securing our border have played in creating this instability:

“This lawlessness has got to stop. The instability we are seeing in El Paso is a direct result of Frank Mrvan’s repeated failure to prioritize border security. His reckless votes combined with Biden’s Open Border policy have turned every state into a border state, encouraged illegal immigration, overwhelmed our Border Patrol Agents, and are putting American lives at risk. Northwest Indiana deserves a leader who fights to protect our communities, not someone who plays politics with our safety,” stated Niemeyer.

Cedar Lake – Following Rep. Frank Mrvan’s vote to support Biden’s energy policies that have led to higher gas prices and increased reliance on foreign adversaries for energy development, Randy Niemeyer, Lake County Councilman and Republican Congressional candidate for Indiana’s First District issued the following statement:

“Mrvan’s out-of-touch decision to support Joe Biden’s disastrous anti-American energy policies is a blatant betrayal of the values and interests of the community he’s supposed to represent. He’s turned his back on the hardworking Hoosiers in favor of embracing the radical left’s energy agenda. He would rather see you pay more at the pump, and rely on China and other foreign adversaries than unleash the power of American energy. As a truck driver for nearly 30 years, I know a thing or two about the importance of fighting against harmful regulations and reckless policies that undermine American energy independence and jeopardize our economic security,” stated Niemeyer.

Cedar Lake – During a recent Lake County Democrat meeting, Rep. Frank Mrvan said, “Republicans don’t care about you. They only care about the wealthy and the one percent.” Randy Niemeyer, Lake County Republican Party Chairman and Republican Congressional candidate for Indiana’s First District expressed disappointment over Rep. Frank Mrvan’s comments, and issued the following response:

“Frank Mrvan is a hyper-partisan politician who talks out of both sides of his mouth attacking Republicans, claiming they only care about the one percent while taking money from millionaire hedge fund donors and voting for economic policies that are crushing the hard-working Hoosiers in his own district. In Congress, I’ll work across partisan divides to ensure better results for working and middle-class Americans,” stated Niemeyer.

Crown Point – As Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita filed a lawsuit today in Lake County against Pharmacy Benefit Managers and drug companies for conspiring to raise prices on insulin medication, Lake County Councilman and Republican Congressional candidate, Randy Niemeyer (IN-01) issued the following statement:

“I stand firmly behind Attorney General Todd Rokita’s lawsuit against Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs) and drug companies for their egregious conspiracy to inflate prices on insulin medication. This predatory behavior directly harms working and middle-class patients, forcing them to choose between essential medication and other basic necessities.

‘It’s high time we hold these entities accountable for their actions, which are lining their pockets at the expense of the health and well-being of our communities. I commend Attorney General Rokita for taking decisive action to combat this injustice and protect the interests of Indiana residents.

‘As your representative, I pledge to continue supporting efforts to rein in the power of PBMs and ensure fair pricing for prescription drugs. Together, we will fight to make healthcare more affordable for all Hoosiers,” stated Niemeyer.

Cedar Lake – Following the news that Tyson Foods intends to hire over 40,000 migrants after laying off more than 1,200 American workers in Iowa, Randy Niemeyer, Lake County Councilman and Republican Congressional candidate for Indiana’s First District issued the following statement:

“When you combine Bidenomics with an open border policy, this is what you get: layoffs and thousands displaced. This is only the beginning if we don’t get serious about securing our border and fixing an economic climate that makes it nearly impossible to thrive. We cannot stand idly by while American workers are pushed aside in favor of cheaper labor from abroad. This is not just about economics; it’s about standing up for our values and ensuring that in this country, American citizens come first,” stated Niemeyer.

Cedar Lake – Following President Biden’s unveiling of his massive $7.3 Trillion Budget, including $5.5 Trillion in tax hikes, Randy Niemeyer, Lake County Councilman and Republican Congressional candidate for Indiana’s First District issued the following statement:

“As a small business owner, I’m deeply troubled by President Biden’s proposed budget and tax hikes. With a $7.3 trillion budget and $5.5 trillion in tax increases, the government is reaching deeper into our pockets without considering the consequences for hardworking Americans and entrepreneurs like myself. Biden has learned nothing from the past three years, continuing to burden everyday Americans with runaway spending, causing us to pay higher prices for goods, while taxing you more.

“These policies will directly lead to higher inflation, eroding the buying power of your hard-earned dollars, and further straining the budgets of American families and businesses.

“These policies have been tried over and over again in this country and have never worked. Working and middle-class taxpayers have always paid the freight on tax and spend policies.

“Tax hikes threaten to burden businesses already struggling to recover from the challenges of the past few years. Instead of fueling economic growth, they’ll crush the entrepreneurial spirit that drives our nation forward.

“Rather than penalizing success, we should foster an environment that encourages innovation and job creation. I will advocate for responsible fiscal policies in Congress that prioritize the needs of small businesses, and everyday Americans to ensure our economy can thrive for generations to come,” stated Niemeyer.

Cedar Lake – Following Frank Mrvan’s interaction with President Biden after last week’s State of the Union address, where he thanked the President for “standing up for working people,” Randy Niemeyer, Republican Challenger in IN-01, issued the following statement.

“This sentiment expressed by Frank Mrvan following last week’s State of The Union is completely tone-deaf to the realities faced by working men and women in Northwest Indiana.

“The hard truth remains that many are struggling more than ever to make ends meet. The Bidenomics policies supported by Mrvan have been a complete and utter disaster. Nearly 8.4 million Americans have to work multiple jobs just to put food on the table, while inflation continues to skyrocket.

“The open-border crisis exacerbated by Mrvan’s vote against H.R. 2 has led to a massive influx of migrant workers who are undercutting the value of labor in the marketplace. It’s time for a change in leadership.

“In Congress, my focus will be on addressing these challenges head-on, advocating for policies that truly empower our communities and create opportunities for all. We need solutions that go beyond mere words of gratitude, and I am committed to fighting for the real, tangible changes that hard-working Hoosiers desperately need,” stated Niemeyer.

Cedar Lake – Today, Randy Niemeyer, Lake County Councilman and Republican Congressional candidate for Indiana’s First District signed the U.S. Term Limits Pledge, vowing to support a U.S. Term Limits Amendment of three (3) House terms and two (2) Senate terms. Upon signing the pledge, Randy Niemeyer issued the following statement:

“I’m proud today to have signed the U.S. Term Limits pledge because I believe in putting power back in the hands of the people. Serving in elected office was never intended to be a lifelong career. Term limits ensure fresh ideas and prevent politicians from getting too cozy in Washington. It’s about accountability, and making sure our government works for us, not the other way around,” stated Niemeyer.
