Crown Point – Today, as Early Voting begins in Indiana, Randy Niemeyer, Republican Congressional Candidate for Indiana’s 1st District and Chairman of the Lake County Republican Party, urges constituents to exercise their right to vote early as the Early Voting period commences on April 9th, 2024, running through May 6th, ahead of the May 7th Primary Election. Cedar Lake – After a recent border stampede incident in El Paso where a riot of illegal migrants tore down razor wire along the Rio Grande and rushed the border, an El Paso judge ordered their release. Today, Randy Niemeyer, Lake County Councilman and Republican Congressional candidate for Indiana’s First District expressed disappointment over the decision and criticized the role Rep. Frank Mrvan’s votes against securing our border have played in creating this instability:

“This lawlessness has got to stop. The instability we are seeing in El Paso is a direct result of Frank Mrvan’s repeated failure to prioritize border security. His reckless votes combined with Biden’s Open Border policy have turned every state into a border state, encouraged illegal immigration, overwhelmed our Border Patrol Agents, and are putting American lives at risk. Northwest Indiana deserves a leader who fights to protect our communities, not someone who plays politics with our safety,” stated Niemeyer.

Crown Point – As Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita filed a lawsuit today in Lake County against Pharmacy Benefit Managers and drug companies for conspiring to raise prices on insulin medication, Lake County Councilman and Republican Congressional candidate, Randy Niemeyer (IN-01) issued the following statement:

“I stand firmly behind Attorney General Todd Rokita’s lawsuit against Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs) and drug companies for their egregious conspiracy to inflate prices on insulin medication. This predatory behavior directly harms working and middle-class patients, forcing them to choose between essential medication and other basic necessities.

‘It’s high time we hold these entities accountable for their actions, which are lining their pockets at the expense of the health and well-being of our communities. I commend Attorney General Rokita for taking decisive action to combat this injustice and protect the interests of Indiana residents.

“This sentiment expressed by Frank Mrvan following last week’s State of The Union is completely tone-deaf to the realities faced by working men and women in Northwest Indiana.
