Cedar Lake – Randy Niemeyer, Lake County Councilman and Republican Congressional candidate for Indiana’s First District issued the following statement in response to President Biden’s State of the Union Address:

“Whether it’s inflation, crime, or the border crisis, Joe Biden and the political elites are completely disconnected from the issues facing Americans. Thanks to Bidenomics, the cost of living has skyrocketed, and working-class families are barely treading water at best. Our politicians have turned their backs on our law enforcement, and as a result, our communities have never been less safe. Joe Biden might give some lip service to securing our border, but it’s all revisionist history. Since day one in office, Biden signed Executive Order after Executive Order overturning effective immigration policies that kept Americans safe. The open border policies pushed by President Biden, and supported by Frank Mrvan have been nothing short of a complete and utter failure. In Congress, I’ll put a stop to the political games and get to work to resolve the issues impacting hard-working Americans,” stated Niemeyer.

Cedar Lake – As global unrest persisted and Israel faced attacks from Hamas, Frank Mrvan turned his back on our allies, voting three times to block funding for Israel’s Iron Dome System. In response, Randy Niemeyer, Lake County Councilman and Republican Congressional candidate for Indiana’s First District issued the following statement:

“It’s time to call out the dangerous decision made by my opponent. In the face of terrorist threats to our allies in Israel, Frank Mrvan voted three times to block funding for Israel’s Iron Dome Defense System.

“The Iron Dome saves lives, and my opponent’s decision to turn his back on our allies, leaving them vulnerable to terrorist attacks is indefensible. In the face of growing global instability, we need leaders who stand strong for our allies, not those who play politics with national security. I promise you this: when I’m in Congress, I’ll fight tooth and nail to ensure our allies, like Israel, have the support they need to defend themselves,” stated Niemeyer.

Cedar Lake – Today, Randy Niemeyer, Lake County Councilman and Republican Congressional candidate for Indiana’s First District expressed strong support for the Indiana bill aimed at safeguarding our farmland from foreign ownership, particularly from China:

“Hoosier Farmland is a vital component of the American agricultural economy, feeding our country, providing jobs, and is a way of life for countless families. Today, over 385,000 acres of American farmland are owned by Chinese investors. The threat posed by China to our national security has never been more prevalent, and I applaud the commitment of our state legislature to the hardworking farmers in Indiana, standing up to China and ensuring that our agricultural resources stay out of the hands of foreign adversaries. Our campaign is rooted in the values that make our community strong, and in Congress, I’ll continue to champion policies that put Americans and American interests first,” stated Niemeyer.

Cedar Lake – Following the news of the passing of Laken Riley at the hands of a Venezuelan illegal immigrant, Randy Niemeyer, Lake County Councilman and Republican Congressional candidate for Indiana’s First District issued the following statement:

“I am sickened by the news over the weekend of the death of Lakin Riley, a twenty-two-year-old Georgia nursing student who was kidnapped and murdered by a Venezuelan illegal immigrant. My thoughts and prayers go out to her friends and family.

“As we mourn the loss of this promising young life, we must also address the root causes that allowed such a horrific incident to occur. When will enough finally be enough? How many lives need to be lost before politicians like Frank Mrvan and Joe Biden stop playing political games with our safety? A secure nation begins with secure borders, this tragedy underscores the urgent need to stop the flow of illegal immigration and the chaos it creates through our Southern border,” stated Niemeyer.

Cedar Lake – Today, Randy Niemeyer, Lake County Councilman and Republican Congressional candidate for Indiana’s First District expressed disappointment over Rep. Frank Mrvan’s vote against constructing barriers along the Southern Border as part of the H.R.2, known as the “Secure the Border Act”:

“There have been over 8.5 million illegal border crossings since Joe Biden took office, including 1.8 million known gotaways who have evaded Border Patrol. This is the worst border crisis in our nation’s history, with no sign of slowing down. Frank Mrvan has backed this failed radical open-border policy at every turn. He voted against the Secure the Border Act which would’ve constructed barriers along the Southern border, helping stop the flow of illegal border crossings, drug trafficking, and other criminal activities that threaten the safety of our communities. In Congress, I won’t play political games with your safety. I’m committed to supporting real solutions to our broken immigration system,” stated Niemeyer.

Cedar Lake – In light of a new report showing that the Inflation Reduction Act supported by Frank Mrvan helped China rake in American dollars, Randy Niemeyer, Lake County Councilman and Republican Congressional candidate in IN-01 issued the following statement:

“The Inflation Reduction Act has completely backfired, leading to a massive increase in Chinese battery imports and doing nothing to ease the burden on the American people. Instead of importing batteries from China, we should focus on developing industry in the United States. Frank Mrvan’s voting record has done nothing but make it harder for hard-working Hoosiers to make ends meet, while stuffing the wallets of the Chinese Communist Party.”

Cedar Lake– Today, Randy Niemeyer, Lake County Councilman and Republican Congressional candidate for Indiana’s First District denounced Rep. Frank Mrvan’s vote against providing additional support to Border Patrol agents as part of the H.R.2, known as the “Secure the Border Act”:

“With hundreds of thousands of illegal border crossings per month, Frank Mrvan wants to handcuff our overwhelmed Border Patrol agents. H.R.2., “The Secure the Border Act” would’ve provided funding to Increase the number of full-time Border Patrol agents to at least 22,000. Yet Frank Mrvan voted No. He can pay as much lip service as he wants to secure the border, yet when push comes to shove, Mrvan votes against giving our border patrol agents the help they need to keep our country safe.”

Cedar Lake– Today, Randy Niemeyer, Lake County Councilman and Republican Congressional candidate for Indiana’s First District condemned Rep. Frank Mrvan’s vote against implementing E-Verify as part of the H.R.2, known as the “Secure the Border Act”:

“E-Verify is a crucial tool that protects American jobs and ensures fair employment practices. Mrvan’s vote against incorporating E-Verify raises concerns about his commitment to safeguarding the interests of American workers. Time and time again, Mrvan shows us where his interests truly lie, and it’s not with the Pro-Labor values of our community. Frank Mrvan continues to vote with the most extreme wing of his party, who are content to have open borders and pull the rug out from underneath American workers.”

Cedar Lake– Earlier this week the Biden Administration backed off their gas stove ban. However, Rep Frank Mrvan (IN-01) voted against the Gas Stove Protection and Freedom Act (H.R 1615), and against the Save Our Gas Stoves Act (H.R. 1640). Republican Congressional Candidate Randy Niemeyer (IN-01) issued the following statement:

“Biden backed down on his extreme gas stove ban, but Frank Mrvan wants to turn up the heat on his extremist agenda. Rep. Mrvan thinks that more government overreach into our everyday lives is the answer. He voted in favor of banning gas stoves, demonstrating once again that he is completely out of touch with our community and would rather represent the interests of liberal elites in San Francisco and New York. In Congress, I’ll cook up common sense policies that work for everyone, not just those with an appetite for extremism.”
